Sometimes there are moments where Morpheus’ famous line hits harder. Moments that cause you to take pause and eventually bring you to the only acceptable conclusion: we are living in a simulation. I recently had one of these moments.
On my last post, I wrote about walking into Target recently and having an overwhelming desire to drink a Mountain Dew. As I said, it was very strange. I don’t drink it often or at all anymore.
Anyway, I recently bought a small pack of cans. Midway through drinking the damn thing I finally realize the can! I couldn’t be believe it!

For the longest time, I yelled at the clouds by complaining that they changed the branding from the full spelled out name to ‘MTN Dew’. I hated that. It was lazy and looked horrible. But they finally brought the full spelling back! I am a huge fan of making things look nice and pretty again. Design language today is so boring and bland. This is cool! This is a step in the right direction.
I remember taking the following picture:

I still have the dainty puny wrists and long fingers!
However, why was I drawn to it that random Sunday night strolling through Target. Also, why would they only now decide to rebrand the logo back from the times I yearn for? I know it’s just a coincidence. I know that and I hate it. Yet there is something comforting in the thought that maybe it is a sign from something bigger.
