It’s Halloween 2021. A cold Sunday night. I called out of work due to lack of sleep and I am watching the World Series. Game 5 with Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros.
As required: FUCK the Astros.
For context, the in 2017 the Astros cheated in the World Series by setting up a TV in their dugout, watching the signs from the catcher, and banging a fucking trashcan when there was a certain pitch coming. If the batter heard the trashcan, they’d know a good pitch was coming and crush the ball out of the park. There’s endless debate on whether or not this affected the outcome. However, it’s beyond that. You don’t cheat at this level. Have some fucking integrity.

As I was writing this, the Braves decided to intentionally walk Bregman in the top of the 5th. This lead to the bases being loaded. Then AJ Minter walked Maldanado which tied the game 5 to 5. Cmon braves!!!
UPDATE: It’s now the top of the 8th and the Astros lead the braves 9 to 5. Sickening.
