The Phillies are lookin MIGHTY fine this year. They started off the signings with a bang, signing Trea Turner.<\/a> The next signing has received a mixed response. We signed Craig Kimbrel to a one year deal. I personally don’t like this but thankfully, it’s only one year. Kimbrel used to have a lot of gas in the tank, however he’s up there in age and hasn’t performed nearly as good as he used to. He’s an older arm that COULD come in handy for some late inning heroics. Who knows. Personally, I wish we had signed Aroldis Chapman. Look, I know he’s old. He isn’t Chapman from the Reds back in 2013. I still feel like he has something to give. He’s a strong lefty with a wild delivery. He’d fit right into Philly as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal with Gregory Soto is…..interesting?<\/a> He didn’t have the best year last year, but that could be a lack of run support from his team. 2-11 is a pretty<\/em> hard record to defend, but we will see how he does. The Phils really needed their backend bullpen to fill out and this certainly does that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
